Critical Reflection Questions

  1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? Usually what Indie music videos do is try to convey their idea in a conceptual form, while lip-syncing the lyrics. They’re usually the focus, always the focal point of the camera while everything else shows the concepts they are trying to achieve. These instances are achieved in “Glue Song”, by Beabadoobe. Even if they're not lip-syncing the lyrics, you would know they are the focus due to the camera work always engaging in the artist’s emotions. I see this from, “Untitled”, by Rex Orange County. But what truly inspired me was “ We Fell in Love in October” by girl in red, which became my reference for my video. The overall video and nostalgia the video enraptured me, and I wanted to follow. A Pat On The Back

I never realized that Capcut completely destroys your battery. 10 minutes of editing and i was 5 percent down. Like? Regardless, here's the final update before the big day. D-Day. Whatever. Predictable, I didn't get everything done.  Not enough to meet my last blog's goals  But.  But.  I did make enough progresss to go from barely 5 second to a whopping 40+ seconds. That right there deserves a pat on the back. I made some drastic changes. The POV I thought I filmed right turned out to be vertical, so that sucked, I can't have my MV turning into a youtube short in the middle of it, can I? I'll think of someting else. It's important to check your results after filming to see if you get the shot correctly. Lesson learned. I wont spoil too much but here is what happened: During editing, I added a filter labeled "film", and sure enough it did it's job. The video went from 1080pf with normal colors to 1080 pf with tinted colors. Sounds medicore when I pu
