What conventions of Slasher/Horror does this movie have?

This is a continuation of one of the most popular franchise and stays true to its formula. It has the classic, masked killer trope, a group of survivors, gore, and the final girl. 

What conventions of Slasher/Horror does this movie have did I like?

While it does have the cliché tropes of a slasher thriller, this movie is self aware. Because they are self aware they are living a movie cliché, characters self reflect and don't blindly trust one another. Instead, they are are always aware that even  their closest relationship can end in a betrayal, constantly stating this fact to the group. This has led to expected yet unexpected betrayals and deaths within each movie.

What conventions of Slasher/Horror does this movie have did I not like?

What this movie need s improving of is stepping away from the classic formula and introduced something new and different. A twist that changes things but still keeps the franchise's identity,

^ I promise my editing is not that intricate.   This blog will be pretty straight to the point. I didn't make a lot of significant progress with my editing just yet. Nonetheless, here is what I did so far. First, I of course logged into Capcut to make a new project. Annoyingly, my phone was overloaded in storage, so before I could get further into editing, I had to clear my phone. Either it was me, or the fact that iPhones profit off of extra storage, it was a long process.  I put the scenes in sequential order. I started from the outside shot to the backyard scene. The scenes where it rapidly switched from me speaking to my inner voice were difficult to put in proper order. I kept getting the order confused and overthinking it. Hands reach out and touch the screen in a monochromatic color pallete. We see a glimpse of a tunnel, a violen being mishandled.
