Intro Blog!

Hello, my name is Mya Julien. I am an 11th grader at Fort Lauderdale Highschool. At the time of this blog, I'm at the romanticized age of 16. I'm the youngest in the family and pretty shy, so I'm not too excited to see how Junior year is going to bet. They call it the 'worse year' for a reason.

To add 'flavor' to such 'basic' information, I'm Haitian American, part of the LGBTQ+ community. Now people can take that information and do whatever they want with it, yet I'll always be proud of my identity.

On another note, I love music. I can't function long-term without it. Everything I do requires my headphones. For example, Homework, working out, walking, running, typing this blog...

You get the point.

I love all types of generes of music, such as K-pop, R&B, alternative, etc. Everything but country. I cannot stand country music, nor can everyone else I'm friends with. It's one of the reasons why I'm on good terms with so many people. Our collective hatred for country music brings unity.

I believe myself to be somwhat of an artist. Music? Nope, can't sing. Dance or acting? Nope, can't dance or act for the life of me, though this class is going to test me. Writing? I dabble. Visual art? I try. Despite these odds against me, I take Aice Media not only to try to get my Aice diploma but to force myself to try new things.
