Genre Decision Is...

 


After some thinking a came to a conclusion rather quickly. 

I will be choosing to do a slasher genre, a sub genre of horror. Funny enough, I feel as though it is not as restricting compared to the other two choices. Slasher is not strictly 100% horror, it's not afraid to invite a slight hint of comedy. As weird as it sounds, a subgenre of horro  having comedy, it's not impossible. Not to say I'm making a horror genre straight comedy, I'm just saying it won't hurt. I mean, look at the 'SCREAM' franchise, the movies are not afraid to have some light hearted moments that end with a brutal murder. One minute your releasing a slight chuckle, the next your favorite charctaer of that movie is killed in unsuspecting way. In conclusion, while comedy and thriller are great genres, I feel as though slasher is a broader concept that I can expres in my opening seqeunce.

^ I promise my editing is not that intricate.   This blog will be pretty straight to the point. I didn't make a lot of significant progress with my editing just yet. Nonetheless, here is what I did so far. First, I of course logged into Capcut to make a new project. Annoyingly, my phone was overloaded in storage, so before I could get further into editing, I had to clear my phone. Either it was me, or the fact that iPhones profit off of extra storage, it was a long process.  I put the scenes in sequential order. I started from the outside shot to the backyard scene. The scenes where it rapidly switched from me speaking to my inner voice were difficult to put in proper order. I kept getting the order confused and overthinking it. Hands reach out and touch the screen in a monochromatic color pallete. We see a glimpse of a tunnel, a violen being mishandled.
