My Pitch

Pitch 1: A student takes a nap after a long day, now that day is even longer.

Discussion 1:  Groundhog day is when a day repeats continuously, at lest until the character does what the universe it telling them what to do. I want to make a character that goes through trial and error though their day. Basically, make them suffer yet grow stronger form their trials. The concept of this pitch is to show how things can  easily go  wrong  and from that, they could get even worse. While this sounds negative, it will also teach to let things be and accept stuff as they are. This student could use some trial and error to improve on themselves.

Pitch 2:  Hearing a voice in your head would be a usual cause of concern, but what if you made it your friend, it insist to be.

Discussion 2: So the character obviously has hallucinations, but instead of making them suffer from them, I would do the opposite. Not to glorify hallucinations in any way, but instead of making them seem 'crazy' and 'uncontrollable'  like the media tends to do, I would show hallucination in a more tame light. The voice will suddenly appear randomly, forcing the character to readjust their lifestyle to adapt. It would irritate the character, it would make them lash out, but then they would slowly get closer. Until the character realizes what the voice makes them do isn't normal.

Final decision: Pitch 2 " Hearing a voice in your head would be a usual cause of concern, but what if you made it your friend." because I feel it would be more exciting to carry out.
